SkilledUp Life’s recruitment process, until the release of Version 2 of our product included the following steps:
- Step 1 – List Volunteer Opportunities – each Opportunity had to be manually created.
- Step 2 – Review applications. Reject or proceed to Step 4.
- Step 3 – Filter the Volunteer List and invite the best-fit talent to apply. Review their applications. Reject or proceed to Step 4.
- Step 4 – Send a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ).
- Step 5 – Review PQQ and invite those qualifying to an interview.
- Step 6 – Prepare and send the Volunteer Agreement for review and signatures.
- Step 7 – Hand over to HR Operations for onboarding.
Version 2 improved the process drastically.
- Step 1 – Use Opportunity Templates to create the Volunteer Opportunity and assign a PQQ. 2 mins to publish. You can edit the Opportunity but you cannot edit the PQQ.
- Step 2 – Review PQQ responses, have an intense discussion via direct messaging, reject or proceed to Step 4.
- Step 3 – Filter the Volunteer List and invite the best-fit talent to apply. Proceed as per Step 2.
- Step 4 – Proceed with the interview.
- Step 5 – Prepare and send the Volunteer Agreement for review and signatures.
- Step 6 – Hand over to HR Operations for onboarding.
Other than removing a step, the intense discussion through direct messaging is key to rapid recruitment. Discussion should bring in the CEO as well as Team Leaders, so that the recruitment decisions made are taken collectively.
